A vocation is a personal calling that is placed upon your life. It can manifest in many ways from the little to the extraordinary. There are many roles and jobs that are vocational because they take a special sort of someone to fulfil them with passion. These roles could be in nursing, teaching, religious ministry, marriage, medicine, science, parenting, caring professions and even politics. We believe that through these roles, we can grow to be the people that God has called us to be, and we believe that there are many vocations that people could be called to, both as lay and ordained people. But don’t just read about it. Check out what our Bishops believe about having a ‘vocation’.
